What are Skill Sets
Skill Sets are outlined in nationally endorsed Training Packages and are shorter than a full qualification, usually comprising of two or more units of competency that link to a licence or regulatory requirement, or defined industry need. TAE40122 has 16 Skill Sets that are aligned to particular industry specialisations.
An individual may not need the full TAE qualification to undertake Enterprise and Industry or VET in Schools training and assessment.
Undertaking a skill set can be a stepping stone to the full qualification as the units of competency completed can provide credit towards the TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and other qualifications that allow for the selection of these units.
