Qualification Description
Become a stonemason and create limestone, marble, and sandstone designs for residential and commercial projects. Acquire the skills necessary to build a career in one of the oldest and most esteemed construction trades.

SUITABILITY
Entry recommendations
To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:
Over the age of 18 years
Have completed TAE Institutes LLN entry assessment consistent with the TAE Institute’s LLN Policy
Good communication and teamwork skills
A reasonable level of strength and agility
An aptitude for working with your hands
The ability to provide your own PPE, such as work boots, gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses

For Qualification by RPL the candidate MUST provide the following required documents:
- 100 points ID
- Unique Student Identifier – USI number
- Resume (Relevant Industry)
- Reference Letter (Relevant Industry)
- Payslip
- Worksite Photos & Videos evidences

Career pathways
Our graduates go onto roles like Stonemasons cut and shape hard and soft stone blocks and masonry slabs to construct and renovate stone structures and monumental masonry.
Other jobs include: stonemason, architectural stonemason, monumental stonemason, heritage stonemason and bench-top mason.
Licensing
Upon completion of this course, you’ll be eligible to apply to practise as a licensed stonemason. This is a requirement for employment in the industry. Visit NSW Fair Trading for licensing requirements and guidelines before you apply.
