If you already hold the TAE40110 Certificate then you should be able to upgrade to the TAE40116 qualification by completing the Upgrade Course

Course description

If you already hold the TAE40110 Certificate then you should be able to upgrade to the TAE40116 qualification by completing our Upgrade Course and the TAELLN411 unit. Please register for the LLN unit separately.

Duration

The 3-day upgrade course includes the TAEASS502 unit as well as gap training on the TAEASS401 and TAEASS403 units that is now deemed as not equivalent. We are providing an optional training day to the back end of the 3-day upgrade course to help participants get started with the project work to be completed after the 3-day upgrade workshop. The focus will be on helping participants getting started on the major homework assignment “Project 3”. The fee for this additional day will be $195.00 The 3-day upgrade does not include the TAELLN411 unit. If you need the LLN unit please register for this 1-day workshop separately.

The upgrade course is only suitable for participants that already have the TAE40110 Qualification (please bring a copy of your transcript to class on day 1).
By attending the upgrade training and completing the projects and assignments successfully, participants will be eligible for the new TAE40116 qualification.

Assessment

There is no pre-course work, there are however some project work to be completed during and after the course as follows:

Project 1 Design and develop an assessment tool (mostly during the workshop)
Project 2 Design and develop an RPL assessment tool (mostly during the workshop)
Project 3 Design and develop an assessment tool (mostly in your own time)
Project 4 Participate in an Assessment Validation (mostly during the workshop)
Set of 9 written paragraph style questions to be answered (in your own time)

You would be expected to do 1.5 hours of homework at night at the end of each day of the workshop.

The following to be completed after the workshop:

Parts of project 1 and 2 need to be typed, and
Project 3 to be completed and typed, and
Paragraph style Questions to be completed.
